Engage in professional development programs offered through membership in SPSP. Demonstrate your knowledge and capabilities through certification with our affiliate Consumer Product Safety Certification Services (CPSCS). 


CERTIFICATION

WHY GET CERTIFIed in Product safety through cpscs? 

The process of certification offers professionals the opportunity to demonstrate their competency in a particular field of knowledge. The consumer product safety field has grown and evolved. Certification can be a path of professional development for the individual, while assuring their company management that their product safety professionals have achieved a recognized credential in the product safety profession. 

What will cPScs provide candidates for certification?

Successful completion of the certification process will indicate that the individual is competent and has the necessary level of knowledge and experience in the product safety field to design and manage a company’s product safety system and compliance plan. The certification process will require demonstrated knowledge and experience through background information, information exchange with SPSP evaluators, and successful completion of the certification examination. 

WHEN WILL CERTIFICATION BEGIN?

 Registration for the 2019 Certification Program will begin August 1, 2018 and end October 30, 2018.

To be eligible for the program and examination, individuals should have 10 or more years of work experience in a product safety position, or 7 years in a product safety position with a university bachelor degree in a related field or such other criteria as might be deemed adequate by CPSCS.
